About Me
I worked as a journalist in Durban for several years - initially for Caxton community newspapers and then as a daily news journalist with Independent Newspapers – before starting as a freelancer in 2014.
I am a member of the Southern African Freelancers’ Association and have written extensively for various marketing and PR organisations on a range of subjects; edited and proofread documents from news pieces to educational manuscripts; and worked on several websites and social media accounts, both in an editing and writing capacity.
Before becoming a writer I worked as a high school teacher in the UK where I taught English and History after having completed my Bachelor of Arts and Post-Graduate Certificate in Education at Rhodes University. I went on to complete my CELTA – a Cambridge-issued certificate for teaching English as a foreign language – which I used to teach English to adults in Vietnam.
