Vodacom Shop Shelly Beach wins Best Cellular Network Shop award for third time | Marketing
Vodacom has once again won the title of “Best Cellular Network Shop” as voted by readers of the South Coast Herald.
This is the third successive year that Vodacom Shop Shelly Beach has claimed the sought-after title in the Best of South Coast Readers’ Choice Awards.
“Winning this award really shows that hard work pays off,” said Vodacom Shop Shelly Beach store manager, John Hopley. “We have a really friendly staff and we solve most of the problems through great service and knowledge of the trade.”
Hopley, who has been managing the successful store for 10 of his 14 years at Vodacom, said there was a “great vibe” in the shop and that his nine, highly trained staff members cared about the customers.
“Winning this award makes us realise that the people we see every day appreciate us and the work we do.”
The competition, which runs annually between August and November each year, allows South Coast Herald readers to nominate and vote for businesses they feel are worthy, rewarding them for good service.
Auditors Chantel Elliott & Company tally the votes, with the top three businesses in 40 categories selected and announced in a special supplement, showcasing the nominees. For the following five weeks, readers can vote for the business they feel are most deserving of the top award.
Owners and managers of the winning businesses are invited to attend the award’s gala function on 20 November where they receive the certificate.
Vodacom Managing Executive for KwaZulu-Natal, Alberts Breed, congratulated Hopley and his team on the illustrious award.

Breed said Vodacom was also very proud to be awarded the top cellular network on the South Coast.
